Georgia Congressional Race Grips American Politics

handle

The most expensive Congressional race in history climaxes today in the 6th District of the Peach State as Georgians come out to vote in another special election that serves as a referendum on the first 150 or so days of the Trump Administration.

President Trump on Twitter, weighed in on the special election stating, "Democrat Jon Ossoff, who wants to raise your taxes to the highest level and is weak on crime and security, doesn't even live in district."

Member of the pro-Trump group Bikers for Trump were seen going door to door in an effort to get the word out and make sure eligible voters were making their voice heard. The Washington Times reported the founder of the group, Chris Cox, led a froup of about six members through the suburban neighborhoods of Georgia's 6th Congressional district.

This race is seen as pivotal for a Democrat Party that was been beaten handily in the 2010 and 2014 midterm elections. They need momentum going into the 2018 contests if they are going to be successful in obstructing the Trump Agenda.

The GOP would like to follow up on the victory last month in a Montana Congressional race that was controversial with the revelation that the victor, Greg Gianforte had manhandled an overzealous reporter prior to a nationally televised interview on Fox News.
