Gianforte Takes Matters, And Reporter Into His Own Hands

The pressures of a high profile congressional race proved too much for Montana candidate Greg Gianforte Wednesday, when he channeled his inner Triple H and allegedly slammed and manhandled reporter Ben Jacobs of the Guardian.

Jacobs had attempted to get a quote regarding the American HealthCare Act (AHCA), but reportedly wound up being put on the ground by the Congressional candidate.

Gianforte was preparing for an interview with Fox News in a private office when Jacobs, uninvited, came in and bombarded Gianforte with his line of legitimate questioning regarding one of the more important unresolved legislative issues in play.

According to Fox News Reporter Alicia Acuna, "Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him."

Gianforte was charged with misdemeanor assault for his role in the incident. This may or may not have an effect on the outcome of a race that is considered a referendum on the early portion of the Trump presidency.

No word on whether Gianforte has been offered a contract by WWE.
