John Kelly's First Year As Chief of Staff Draws Praise From President

President Trump praised his Chief of Staff on Monday:

Kelly, the retired Marine Corps General, enjoyed a solid first year in the Trump Administration replacing Reince Priebus. After the wasted spring of 2017 and its false starts and stops on healthcare reform, with the help of Kelly, the administration continued its laserlike focus on a remake of the judiciary and comprehensive tax reform.

The year ended with a victory with the aforementioned "Tax Cut and Jobs Act" that saw the overwhelming majority of Americans get a better deal than they previously had experienced under President Obama.

The decimation of ISIS also continued, as the seeds were planted towards what the world hopes is the eventual denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

The job of Chief of Staff is critical to day to day execution of the President's agenda and the argument can be made that Kelly's hiring successfully reset a languishing early Administration.
