Mitch McConnell Fires Shot Across the Bow

The Republicans have gone Nuclear! As someone who has watched with disdain the path that the establishment Republicans have taken since winning both chambers in the 2014 midterm, I was equally shocked and proud. These enablers of the progressive agenda finally stood up and took action towards beginning the reversal of our liberally activist Supreme Court.

The confirmation of Gorsuch, a Colorado federal appeals court judge, gives the nine-seat court a 5-4 conservative majority. This was a key portion of the Trump platform. Gorsuch, 49, could be expected to serve for decades.

Some fear a justice that young should he take the path of President George W. Bush Supreme Court appointment, Justice John Roberts. Justice Roberts was instrumental to The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) becoming the law of the land.

Big Agenda author David Horowitz told Newsmax Thursday that the Democrats were "Digging a huge hole" with their attempts to block Gorsuch.

 

President Trump wanted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to to use the "nuclear option." The Gorsuch confirmation would represent Trump's first big victory since taking office. Trump took a big hit on healthcare legislation and a District Judge blocked his amended order to prevent people from several Muslim-majority nations from entering the United States.
