No Charges to be Filed Against Liar McCabe

No charges will be filed against former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe after two years of investigations.

Investigation Now Closed

McCabe had served in the FBI for 21 years before 2018 came, being appointed acting director in May 2017 after James Comey was terminated from his position. The case against McCabe began in 2018 and has to do with information leaks and “lacking candor” in a conversation with Comey and subsequently lying/not being open to the FBI investigators during questioning.

McCabe denied any wrongdoing throughout the two-year investigation, and the Justice Department seem to agree, as they announced Friday that no criminal charges will be filed against the former deputy director.
“We write to inform you that, after careful consideration, the government has decided not to pursue criminal charges against your client, Andrew G. McCabe,” DOJ attorney J.P. Cooney wrote in a letter to McCabe’s attorney Michael Bromwich, per Fox News.

The letter further added that the matter is considered closed based on all the information and circumstances and while McCabe is happy about it, he’s quite displeased at the same time.

In an appearance on CNN shortly after the letter was received McCabe said he’s glad that the Justice Department “finally decided to do the right thing,” although he was quite dissatisfied with how long it took to reach such an “obvious conclusion,” and what his family had to go through while the investigation was going on.
