A while later, the President’s attorney tweeted that he was "recovering quickly” and thanked his followers “for all the prayers and kind wishes.”

Rudy Giuliani (76) was a former NYC mayor and part of the leadership of Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign. Currently, Giuliani is contesting the voting results in some key states in the US. 

The President’s personal attorney is the latest member of Donald Trump’s team who tested positive for COVID-19. The previous officials infected with the virus were the press secretary of the White House Kayleigh McEnany, the chief of staff Mark Meadows, and the senior adviser Hope Hicks. All of them have already recovered.

The announcement of Rudy Giuliani's diagnosis was made just a couple of weeks after his son Andrew, got infected with the virus. Andrew also works at the White House, however, his father’s first coronavirus test turned out negative. 

On Sunday, the ex NYC mayor’s son tweeted that Giuliani is "resting, getting great care and feeling well."

An anonymous source claims that Rudy Giuliani is currently undergoing treatment at the Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

The former NYC mayor is leading Trump’s battle to prove alleged voter fraud and the news of his disease forced the Arizona state legislature chambers to temporarily suspend their work.
