Thank God Its Trump And Not Clinton Making Another SCOTUS Pick

Anthony Kennedy is retiring. The Ronald Reagan appointee was certainly not the worse Justice on the Supreme Court, but far from the best. Many Conservatives were hoping for the retirement of Ruth Bader-Ginsburg who was also rumored to be potentially leaving the nations highest court.

Speculation now begins on just who will be Trump's nominee. Trump has famously created 2 lists in the past of potential SCOTUS appointments, referring to the list in nominating Justice Neil Gorsuch last year.

Among people who are not on Trump's list, Texas Senator Ted Cruz would make a wonderful Supreme Court Justice. The Senator who has been more bombastic messenger for conservatives than pragmatic legislator would be more effective as a lifetime defender of constitution than as a normally combative and divisive figure in the Senate.

The news cycle will be driven with updates on Trump's progress on this major decision over the next few days. Many people will make predictions on who the president will nominate. Thank God it is President Trump and not Hillary Clinton mulling over the future of the nations highest court.
