The People Approve: Trump hits 50% on Latest Rasmussen Poll

President Trump has had his share of ups and downs since he took office in January. He peaked at a 59% approval rating right after the inauguration and then fell as low as 36% according to gallup between March 24 and March 26th.

Less than a month after bottoming out, a new Rasmussen poll shows President Trump is Back to a 50% job approval rating after a tumultuous last couple of weeks in which the world has been on edge with the threat of war looming.

In the past few weeks, Trump has dealt with Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria with decisive force after a chemical attack was carried out by the Syrian Government against their own people and also ordered the destruction of an ISIS stronghold in Afghanistan.

The poll also indicated 30 percent of respondents strongly approve of Trump's job performance and 39 percent strongly disapprove.

The poll was compiled using a nightly telephone survey of 500 likely voters as well as an online survey tool that randomly interviews selected participants across several different demographics.

This poll marks the first time in over a month that the president has ranked in the 50s.
