Senator Mitt Romney, R-Utah, posted photos of himself marching in support of the Black Lives Matter movement on Sunday, while still wearing a face mask due to new health guidelines following the COVID-19 outbreak.
Romney also tweeted out a picture of his father during the late 1960s – when he was governor of Michigan, marching with civil rights protesters.

President Trump made his own posts about Romney’s appearance in the demonstrations, sarcastically praising the senator’s “sincerity,” as Trump’s tweet featured a video of Romney explaining that he joined the protest in order to end “violence, and brutality, and to make sure people understand that Black Lives Matter.”
Tremendous sincerity, what a guy. Hard to believe, with this kind of political talent, his numbers would “tank” so badly in Utah! https://t.co/KqHsHmSRKo

Protests over George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis are still going strong across the country, although they’re currently looking to be returning to peaceful ones after riots and looting left buildings and businesses in flames.
Romney and President Trump have had an ongoing feud throughout Trump’s administration, with the Utah senator not being expected to support the president in the presidential election this year.
