The year 2019 has been an eventful one for the US and President Trump.  It might be hard to notice given that the mainstream media likes to spin every step President Trump takes as a scandal.

In reality, most of the executive orders and policies pushed by Trump have benefited the US significantly. Here are five of the most impactful initiatives taken in 2019 by the Trump administration. 

Artificial Intelligence Funding

Given the massive potential Artificial Intelligence (AI) has as a disruptive technology, President Trump issued an order back in February to promote and endorse the research and development of AI in hopes of keeping America at the forefront of the AI field. 

Energy Infrastructure and Economic Growth

A strong economy is an essential component of any prosperous nation. The US under Trump has seen quite an improvement in many sectors tightly connected to its economy, including a massive drop in unemployment rates, market stability, and an enormous decrease in debt per capita. 

America’s Cybersecurity

With malware developed and updated almost daily, cybersecurity is a major issue in the modern world. Hackers and state-affiliated groups are continually attempting to obtain classified government files, steal intellectual property, and disrupt infrastructures. To that end, President Trump has pushed numerous policies to bolster our cyber capabilities, which include the creation of a new department within the DHS dedicated to cyber operations.

New Sanctions Against Terrorism

Terrorism has been a pretty much everlasting problem in human society. The Trump administration has been looking to modernize the nation's methods of combating terrorism.  As such, the Trump administration has been reviewing and imposing stricter sanctions on countries known to harbor or support terrorism.

Law enforcement and justice are also keywords that anyone should think of when it comes to keeping the citizenry of a nation safe. President Trump and his administration have reached out to the society as a whole to help look out for each other and prevent crime, as well as ensuring that those who do break the laws are brought to justice.
