With Antifa Threatening Free Speech And Civil War, Are Conservative Conferences The Modern Day "Liberty Tree?"

Faceless, nameless cowards. Some dressed in androgynous clothing and looking to willingly give away their natural rights. An unfortunate situation, perfectly predicted in the often cited but unconfirmed quote attributed to Former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill which goes, "The fascists of the future will be called anti-fascists."

Whether he actually said it or not, we are seeing it play out in today's America. As the natural order of America life is restored, the cancer of far-left statism, once thought to be malignant, insists on forcing a final round of radiation on it's way out.

The rumored "Civil War" officially is set to begin on November 4th according to social media sources, but the violence has actually been consistently occurring in conjunction with the rise of American Populism. We saw many unfortunate incidents of violence in opposition to the candidacy of Donald Trump for President and that has only grown in size and scope since Inauguration Day. One particular incident, a Trump rally in Chicago had to be cancelled due to violent anti-Trump protesters. The George Soros funded group, MoveOn.org took credit for the violence on their website and called for additional resistence to Trump at the time.

Recently, the Milo Yiannopoulos brainchild, "Free Speech Week" at the University of California at Berkeley was stifled by campus officials due to the threat of potential violence coupled with the extravagant cost of security (among other things). Controversial posters were put up around the campus. One set of posters read, “Your city is run by thugs in black masks.” The statement being an obvious reference to Antifa, and it's influence in the uber-liberal Northern California community.

In my travels, I have found that even well organized and secured conservative conferences are not spared from the threats of leftist inspired violence. At the 2015 Americans For Prosperity Defending The American Dream Summit in Columbus Ohio, a loud and offensive protest against the event eventually gave way to a bomb threat that temporarily put a halt to what was a very successful event otherwise.

An anonymous source connected to the DC conservative community recently told me that a group planning an event honoring the accomplishments of conservative women eventually decided against it due to the potential for violence occurring.

"It's as if George Soros is in the room at these meetings. A menacing presence that intimidates these planning committees into silence." My source also confirms that in the planning phases of many events they are involved in, the subject of planning security to neutralize Antifa, comes up early and often.

Conservative events like CPAC, Value Voters Summit and others, where large groups congregate to discuss the preservation of our civil liberties and values, have become our modern day Liberty Tree. A throwback to the time when crowds gathered in Boston under the elm tree at the corner of Essex Street and Washington Street to protest the Stamp Act, and the place where the Sons of Liberty stood firm against the loyalists in leading to an American Revolution that changed world history.

As Thomas Paine wrote, "Unmindful of names or distinctions they came,

For freemen like brothers agree; With one spirit endued, they one friendship pursued,

And their temple was Liberty Tree."

Reactionary Times will be at Value Voters Summit this weekend. Let us not be compelled by fear but motivated by the spirit of our Founders.
