After the USGS reported on Friday night that a 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred earthquake near Barstow, California, with people claiming to have felt tremors, likely the aftershocks, all the way in Las Vegas, roughly 140 miles from where the earthquake hit, more shakes and quakes have followed.
Quakes and Aftershocks
With January seeing its fair share of earthquakes rocking Puerto Rico and now a new series of tremors being reported in the Southwest United States, one has to wonder whether or not this will be a “shaky” year, as quakes in recent events tend to progress and do quite a bit of damage.
The most recent reported aftershock registered as a 2.8 magnitude quake 17 miles from Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, affecting both the US and Mexico.
