Coronavirus at CPAC 2020
CPAC is an annual political conference where conservative individuals, public figures, and activists gather to discuss a wide range of topics related to the conservative movement. This year’s conference, CPAC 2020, saw President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence as special guest speakers. This immediately created worries that the two highest officers in the executive branch might have been exposed to the virus during the conference. However, officials have assured that neither Trump or Pence came into contact with the infected individual.
The ACU has stated that they are in communication with health authorities from the State of Maryland and government experts and will follow all necessary guidelines to maintain the situation under control.
At this moment, there is no information on whether the infected individual was an isolated case, or if the virus managed to spread to other attendees.
