AOC Slams ‘Corporate’ Stimulus

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed the $2 trillion stimulus package shortly before it was signed into law.

“Shameful” Bailout

AOC once again ripped into Republicans by calling the now-signed into law $2 trillion bill a “shameful” corporate bailout that leaves Americans without needed resources. Ocasio-Cortez also charged that the billions that will be going into businesses will only serve to contribute to “the largest income inequality gap in our future.”

The congresswoman also warned that the entire nation will face what her district has been facing in regards to the Coronavirus if appropriate measures aren’t taken now.

Despite AOC’s and other Democrats’ efforts and emotional speeches, the House passed the stimulus bill after a previous 96-0 vote in the Senate.

AOC complained that the amount of money that will be distributed to individuals simply just isn’t enough, and although nonresident immigrants will be ineligible for the payment, most taxpayers will receive up to $1,200 individually or $2,400 for those who file as a couple.
