President Donald Trump has railed against sudden lead changes in ballot counts in several states, calling them “surprise ballot dumps.”
“Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat-run & controlled,” the President tweeted, adding that the leading states “started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the 'pollsters' got it completely & historically wrong!”
Democrats and the press confronted Donald Trump’s claims immediately, and Twitter labeled the posts as "misleading," explaining that “Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process.”
Since Wednesday, at least 4 tweets by Trump have been flagged, including a post related to voting in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
At a news conference on Wednesday, the President stated he wants “voting to stop” due to his fraud concerns and added that the Republicans don’t want any ballots to be found “at 4 in the morning and add them to the list."
