“The View” co-hosts Joy Behar and Meghan McCain duked it out on Valentine’s Day over Trump, Bloomberg and the 2016 and 2020 elections.
Round 1, Commercial Break
Behar and McCain were talking about who’s more electable – President Trump or former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg this year, and that’s when the two entered a bit of a scuffle as McCain claimed that Bloomberg is in quite a bad position.
McCain also told Behar that she’s been wrong about “election stuff” previously, mentioning her co-host’s prediction that Trump would lose in 2016, while Behar hit back saying that Trump’s win wasn’t a real win since he lost the popular vote.
McCain got quite excited at the chance to say some things to her colleague, telling Behar it was ridiculous to keep talking about it “every single day on this show,” advising her to just accept the fact that Trump is president and “move on!”
At a certain point of the two’s clash, McCain got a little confused, perhaps due to all the excitement, calling Behar “Joe,” most likely due to Joe Biden’s Thursday appearance on the show, trying to clear it up with sarcasm before a commercial break put a stop to the fight in round one.
The exchange between the two co-hosts was almost perfectly timed as it comes just a day after Trump and Bloomberg traded blows on Twitter.
.@realDonaldTrump - we know many of the same people in NY. Behind your back they laugh at you & call you a carnival barking clown. They know you inherited a fortune & squandered it with stupid deals and incompetence.
I have the record & the resources to defeat you. And I will. https://t.co/fO4azmZaUg
