CNN: White House Issues 'Threat' Against Release of Bolton Memoir

Is former National Security Adviser John Bolton’s report the big deal the media and Democrats are making it out to be?

Will Bolton Be Repeating The Same Old Song?

CNN is reporting that the White House has issued a formal 'threat' to Bolton to attempt to prevent him and his publisher from releasing his new book, due to be released on March 17th 2020, "The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir," according to CNN's Jake Tapper.

An alleged case of quid pro quo has been at the center of impeachment proceedings ever since its start back in September, when news of the infamous Ukraine call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was initially reported.

While Democrats insist that Trump broke the law and committed impeachable offenses by withholding aid to pressure Ukraine into investigating the corruption tainted energy company Burisma Holdings, the White House, and Ukrainian President Zelensky himself, have consistently countered by saying no such thing ever occurred.

Trump officials involved in Ukraine policy have repeatedly showed in texts the importance of securing a public commitment to investigations, further clarified in US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland’s testimony.

Bolton’s book, really wouldn’t change much unless it contained some extraordinary evidence that President Trump did in fact commit impeachable offenses, which he would have been required to previously expose while still employed by the government.

Bolton may still appear as a witness, as the Senate still hasn’t made a statement regarding the decision to call for witnesses. Democrats and the impeachment managers, led by Adam Schiff, have been unrelenting in their campaign to abolish the Trump administration, in some instances even looking to dictate the senate's impeachment trial rules, but so far, nothing new’s been brought to the table.

The expected acquittal for Trump is currently being held up by the possibility of potential witnesses being called to testify.
