Former Mayor of Bellaire Cindy Siegel is Elected as Harris County GOP Chair

The ex-mayor of Bellaire and congressional primary candidate Cindy Siegel was elected as the Harris County GOP chairman. In a press release, Cindy Siegel stated that she was excited to perform such an important role and looks forward to “working with all of our local precinct chairs to unify our party and position us to win elections in 2022 and beyond.” 

Who is Cindy Siegel?

Cindy Siegel has been a certified public accountant for 30 years. During that time, she has occupied key positions in Harris County’s Republican Party. Some of these include serving as a vice-chair and treasurer, President of Magic Circle Republican Women’s Club, and president of the Greater Houston Council of Republican Women. 

Before her appointment as the GOP Chair for Harris County, Siegel acted as a mayor of Bellaire from 2004 until 2012. just before serving as the second vice-chair of the Metropolitan Transit Authority's board of directors in 2012.

Siegel stated that they have an “energized group of precinct chairs, volunteers, and activists” who are “dedicated to the conservative values that Texas has long held for generations.”
