Gowdy Calls Out Schiff For “Making Stuff Up” at Hearing

“Adam Schiff has one of the worst senses of humor of anyone I’ve ever met,” former congressman Trey Gowdy said regarding Rep. Adam Schiff’s “parody” of the phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The House Intelligence Committee chairman had made a parody of the conversation – his own dramatic vision of the call between the two leaders, saying this about the call: “We’ve been very good to your country. Very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what, I don’t see much reciprocity here,” with claiming beforehand that “This is the essence of what the president communicates.”

The hearing for the whistleblower complaint had Schiff called out for his reading – he defended the statements. Gowdy commented this is the same thing Schiff did during the allegations for colluding with Russia, however this time he was instead making evidence up.

“This is the same show; they said he had evidence of collusion. He’s not making that mistake this time. … He’s just gonna make it up and he made it up on national television,” Gowdy said on Fox News' “The Story”.

“I applaud any Democrats to criticize, I would criticize a Republican for making stuff up in something as serious as this hearing,” Gowdy said, giving shout outs to anyone who calls out Schiff.
