Douglas Kuhn now stands accused of first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and committing a firearm felony after shooting at Neal Houk and his son.

Neal Houk told the police that after honking at Kuhn, the 50-year old man fired one shot at Houk’s track with a huge “Trump 2020” sign mounted on it.

No damage to passengers or the vehicle was reported.

According to Republican County Councilman David Marks, the incident is “a sad commentary on the state of politics in this country."

On Monday, District Judge Philip N. allowed Douglas Kuhn to stay on home detention and to have no contact with the victims.

Although the police found shotgun shells matching the brand on the shell recovered in the yard, Kuhn said he was “not aware of any such incident.”

While waiting for the trial date to be scheduled, Douglas Kuhn’s attorney said he would plead not guilty.
