OC Shrubbery Fire Injures 2 Firefighters

The wildfire in Orange County devastated over 4,000 acres of land and prompted 60,000 people to leave their homes.

Meanwhile, the wind speed reached 70 mph and the flames kept devouring California areas, joining the Silverado Fire in Irvine, which blazed in the Santa Ana Mountains at 6:45 a.m. local time.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority report, initially, approximately 10 acres were expected to be affected by the fire, however, by 1pm, the flames had covered 4,000 acres.

Currently, five hundred personnel are fighting the fire on the ground, though aircraft support has ceased due to strong winds.

The mandatory evacuation order by Irvine city officials asked the residents "to comply with the evacuation orders for their safety and the safety of our first-responders" and urged them to move to the emergency amenities.

At the same time, the so-called Blue Ridge Fire burst out in Yorba Linda, forcing another urgent evacuation. By now, it is unknown what was the reason for the fire and when it started, however, it has already covered 1,100 acres of land.
