Ozzy Osbourne Diagnosed With Parkinson’s Disease

Rock star Ozzy Osbourne reveals in an interview with “Good Morning America” that he has Parkinson’s disease.

The Show Must Go On

British rocker Ozzy Osbourne, alongside his wife Sharon, addressed some of his health issues that started last year, revealing that after surgery and nerve pain, his unfortunate diagnosis was Parkinson’s.

“It’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect the nerves in your body. It’s like you’ll have a good day, then a good day, and then a really bad day,” Sharon said.

“I’m no good with secrets. I cannot walk around with it anymore. It’s like I’m running out of excuses,” Ozzy said, explaining that he had hidden it from fans for some time now, but was unable to do so anymore due to a sense of guilt from canceling several shows over the past few years.

“I just can’t wait to get well and get on the road again, that’s what’s killing me. I need it you know – that’s my drug,” the rock star said, adding that he feels much better after owning up to the disease.

“This is the longest he’s ever been home. He really needs to get back out now,” his wife Sharon said in support of her husband’s decision.

Although there is no set date for the Black Sabbath front-man's comeback, the main focus right now is treatment and keeping things under control.
