Philadelphia Police has successfully prevented an attack aimed at Pennsylvania’s Convention Center. According to WPVI, the arrest happened after authorities were tipped off about a group of individuals from Virginia in a Hummer who were planning to attack the facility.
Weapon and Vehicle Located
The police arrested a man in a restaurant downtown at about 10:50 p.m. After that, the weapon and the Hummer were found. Nonetheless, there is no official information if the man held in custody outside the convention center is connected to the planned attack.
Currently, the election staffers in the building are counting the mail-in ballots. Until last night, Donald Trump led Philadelphia with approximately 94% of the counted votes. A bit earlier, the US presidential campaign filed a lawsuit against Philadelphia’s voting process, however, it was rejected.
