The first night of the Republican National Convention started the four-day event with a bang, as speakers tackled some important issues plaguing today’s America and it's citizens. At the same time, many of the speakers highlighting what the Trump administration has and is doing for the benefits of the country.
During Trump’s brief appearances for the night, the president interacted with frontline workers in the East Room of the White House – much more cheerfully and less awkward than Biden’s Zoom conversation with party activists last week, many noted.

Trump Greats Frontline Workers and Repatriated American Hostages
A video featuring the president also showed him greeting American hostages, who were freed from captivity by foreign countries during his term. “We got you back,” the president told Sam Goodwin, who has held captive in Syria in 2019, with other hostages being held hostage in countries such as Turkey, Iran, and Venezuela.
Republican Order Vs. Democrat Chaos
The second point that the RNC made was much different – it portrayed Republicans and Trump as a form of order, while Democrats were shown to support urban chaos, as well as socialist policies, which bring threats to American lives alongside them, including helping make the American middle class miserable.
St. Louis Couple who were Chastised for Bearing Arms Speak Up
This was most well shown in the joint speech of the St. Louis couple, who attracted a lot of attention on social media for brandishing guns against a Black Lives Matter march, while standing in front of their house. The couple pointed out that they were the ones who were arrested, while the BLM movement was undisturbed by police, noting that this could happen to every single homeowner with a gun for protection – or in other words, around 43% of all Americans.
UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and Sen.Tim Scott Take it Home
Democrats’ focus on America’s “sins”, such as structural racism, pollution, and others issues, ended up working in favor of RNC speakers; With Sen. Tim Scott and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley delivering impactful speeches in relation to the matters.
“We seek a nation that rises together, not falls apart in anarchy and anger,” Haley said.
Tim Scott – the only black Republican senator, issued the problem of racism and shared his vision for a better future than what the past was, noting that his family “went from cotton to Congress in one lifetime.” Nikki Haley focused more on how much of a blessing living in America is, “even on our worst day.”
