Sidney Powell No Longer Part of Trump's Legal Team

Donald Trump is likely to have cut ties with his legal team member Sidney Powell. 

The unexpected news came out on Sunday when the President’s lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis stated that “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own” and added that  “She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team” and “not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”

It is widely-known that Sidney Powell supports the 2020 election fraud claims and has repeatedly accused election officials of committing crimes, urging reporters to “release the Kraken” of evidence. 

In her latest statement, the ex-legal team member said she plans to continue the litigation and "represent #WeThePeople and seek the Truth."

Powell added that she intends to "expose all the fraud” and “not allow the foundations of this great Republic to be destroyed” by foreign interests.

Recently, Sydney Powell attacked Gov. Brian Kemp, the Republican who helped to certify the election result in Georgia, involving a threat of a “biblical” lawsuit, which bothered some of Donald Trump’s confederates.

On Sunday, the Governor of New Jersey stated that Powell’s accusation against Gov. Kemp on television, while he was unable to defend himself, is “outrageous conduct” which illustrates Republicans’ reservations about Sydney Powell’s public platform.
