Trump: Schiff May Have Committed ‘Fraud and Treason’

In a series of tweets on Sunday, President Trump called out House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, seeking a questioning for “fraud and treason”. The President also expressed his interest and desire in meeting the person, known as the “whistleblower”, the one who made a complaint about July phone call between Trump and Ukrainian leader Zelensky, which resulted in a formal impeachment inquiry from Democrats last Tuesday.

“Like every American, I deserve to meet my accuser, especially when this accuser, the so-called ‘Whistleblower’, represented a perfect conversation with a foreign leader in a totally inaccurate and fraudulent way. Then Schiff made up what I actually said by lying to Congress.”

“His lies were made in perhaps the most blatant and sinister manner ever seen in the great Chamber. He wrote down and read terrible things, then said it was from the mouth of the President of the United States. I want Schiff questioned at the highest level for Fraud & Treason,” as said by President Trump on Twitter.

The two tweets were not the only thing the President had to say about the current situation, he expressed concern over whether or not he was being spied on by the accusers and the consequences it could bring.

“In addition, I want to meet not only my accuser, who presented SECOND & THIRD HAND INFORMATION, but also the person who illegally gave this information, which was largely incorrect, to the “Whistleblower”. Was this person SPYING on the U.S. President? Big Consequences!”, President Trump wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Earlier on Sunday, Adam Schiff had appeared on ABC News, saying measures have been taken to “protect” the whistleblower and his true identity from Trump and allies.

“We are taking all the precautions we can to protect the whistleblower’s identity. With President Trump’s threats, you can imagine the security concerns here,” Schiff said.
