Donald Trump took as decisive stand against the lack of cohesion and accountability in intelligence community as he possibly could Tuesday when he abruptly fired FBI Director James Comey. The Firing, which blindsided Comey was apparent to him while having a meeting with FBI Agents as the news of the firing was being announced on TV.
Comey was a central figure down the stretch of the Presidential Election as he reopened the investigation into the Clinton Email Scandal only to close it days before the election.
The White House released a copy of the written notification of the firing which we cannot confirm has been delivered to the former FBI director as of yet:
Comey, 56, was chosen by President Barack Obama to head the bureau in 2013 for a 10-year term. That appointment is not a guarantee a director will serve the full 10 years, though Comey is only the second FBI chief to be fired.
