A Christmas Carol for America

On the first day of Trump-Mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me

Destruction of ISIS in the Middle East.

The appointment of Ret. General James Mattis as Secretary of Defense was met with cheers from many who were disappointed with former President Barack Obama firing then General James Mattis from his post as the head of Central Command, without even calling the general to let him know he was being replaced.

It was said that on his way out of Central Command, Mattis had rubbed some civilian counterparts the wrong way and differed with President Obama on how to handle Iran. He had been known to often pose the question of what the second and third order consequences of military action against Iran would be, including what the US should do with Iran once the nuclear issue is resolved and it remains a foe?

Trump installed the General and on Day 1 he oversaw 31 airstrikes and bombardments destroying 12 ISIS tactical units. As we head towards 2018 the caliphate has been decimated.

On the Second Day of Trump-Mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

A Message to the Globalists, a NO to TPP.

On January 22nd 2017 Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum signaling the United States’ withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). President Obama’s signature trade deal was yet to be approved by Congress but was already the source of much contention domestically. The Trade deal between Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Brunei put the United States at a competitive disadvantage against low-wage countries like Vietnam and Malaysia that generally have lower safety and environmental standards.

On the third day of Trump-Mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

Less Rules to Regulate me.

Deregulation was a major selling point to voters last November. New Businesses were failing at a whopping 80 percent rate within their first 18 months of existence under the “Regulator in Chief” President Barack Obama.

President Trump has slashed regulations related to energy, communications and healthcare in his first year creating thousands of new jobs and protecting state’s rights in the process.

On the fourth day of Trump-Mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

A Commission to Investigate Hillary.

Trump appeared with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly on Superbowl Sunday 2017 to say that he would order Vice President Mike Pence to head up a commission to investigate claims of voter fraud in light of calls growing louder for an investigation into possible collusion between the Russian Government and the Trump Administration.

These still unsubstantiated claims have yielded no charges related to the original investigation but have resulted in the indictment of former Trump Campaign manager Paul Manafort on charges of conspiracy, money laundering, failing to register as foreign agents, and making false statements and a Guilty Plea by former National Security Advisor Ret. Gen Michael Flynn for making false statements to the FBI.

On the fifth day of Trump-Mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

Travel Bans for a Safer Country.

Within the first 100 days of the Trump Administration U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson blocked enforcement of sections of President Trump’s 2nd attempt to institute a travel ban, specifically areas related to travel and refugees and as a result effectively gutted the order.

The third version would be allowed to go into effect on December 4th 2017 when the Supreme Court allowed the travel ban to go into effect while ongoing court challenges continue.

On the sixth day of Trump-mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

Comey Exposing Corruption by the Former AG.

Behind a backdrop of accusations of possible coercion lobbed at the President by former FBI James Comey, the latter was called to testify in June in front of Congress regarding among other things, his personal interactions with the President.

Comey claimed that he believed President Trump was attempting to pressure him into dropping the investigation into former National Security Advisor Ret Gen. Michael Flynn’s interactions with a Russian Diplomat.

Among the bigger bombshells of the hearing was the revelation that Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch had instructed Comey to publicly refer to the then ongoing investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information as a “matter” and not it’s true nature as an “investigation.” Comey claimed that “confused and concerned” him.

On the seventh day of Trump-mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

Solidarity with the Israelis.

President Donald Trump made a strong statement regarding the “reset” position of United States foreign policy in the Middle East in time for Hanukkah in December.

“I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” Trump said. “After more than two decades of waivers, we are no closer to a lasting peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.”

Trump also announced plans to move the United States Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem as well, stating he has ordered the State Department “to begin preparations to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.”

On the eighth day of Trump-mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

Lower taxes to support my Family.

After all the failures related to Healthcare reform that plagued most of the current legislative session, the GOP was able to get another major piece of the Trump platform advanced through both chambers in Tax reform.

President Trump would tell supporters at a New York fundraiser, "So last night we passed in the history of the country, the largest tax cuts and reform... what we're doing is, if you look at it, we're going to grow the country, we're going to grow jobs. We're going to be growing everything."

The new bill is expected to help create millions of new jobs in the private sector.

On the ninth day of Trump-mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

Record setting gains on Wall Street.

President Trump has had an incredible effect on the stock market. In fact, the Trump rally is the 3rd largest since the Eisenhower era as investors are confident in the President’s platform of tax cuts and sweeping deregulation.

Much like President Reagan before him, Trump is enjoying the surge as investors assume his tactics will help companies boost profits.

On the tenth day of Trump-mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

A NO to the Paris Treaty.

An overbearing EPA has already done enough to stifle the energy industry in America. We had experienced a major decline in the mining of coal under President Obama and likeminded leaders around the world looked to enact more limits with the Paris Climate Accords.

Trump truly proved that he meant it when espousing, “America First,” in looking to renegotiate a deal that was projected to cost America thousands of jobs.

On the eleventh day of Trump-mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

Neil Gorsuch on the Judiciary.

Among the scarier possibilities that may have come with a Hillary Clinton presidency was the potential for an increasingly liberally activist Supreme Court.

President Trump kept true to his promise to America when he nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to America’s highest court. "I am a man of my word, I will do as I say," Trump stated during the prime time press conference held just days after his inauguration. Gorsuch would be confirmed by a 54-45 vote with multiple Democrats voting to install Gorsuch as the replacement for the late Antonin Scalia.

On the twelfth day of Trump-mas,

The Prez and VP gave to me,

Real Hope that we will Save Our Country.

Trump inspired the forgotten majority in this country. The middle of the country, working class American that was sick of our nation taking a backseat to the rest of the world. Tired of Washington DC elitists and limousine liberals on both coasts dictating to them the direction of the Country. These 60 million plus Americans can finally move forward from 8 disastrous years of Barack Obama with hope for a better America.
