Bloomberg Reportedly Wanted Failed Prez Candidate Yang as VP

Michael Bloomberg and Andrew Yang? A new report states Bloomberg wanted to bait Yang out with the position of vice president.

The Wall Street Journal reports that former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg was looking to get 2020 dropout Democrat Andrew Yang to endorse his campaign with the bait being the position of vice president, should Bloomberg win. 

That ship, however, has sunk as the entrepreneur and failed Democratic candidate Andrew Yang canceled his 2020 bid earlier in February and was mulling his own political future, the Journal said. 

Neither has responded to requests for comments from several news outlets, although the report was quick to find those who are in disbelief with a senior Bloomberg aide stating it’s contradictory as Yang was never a serious contender. 

Former candidate Yang was very skeptical about Bloomberg’s late announcement of joining the 2020 race, although it seems the former mayor has outlasted him, as Yang tanked severely in both Iowa and New Hampshire and instead decided to become a commentator for CNN.
