Cindy Grosz: Violence is Never The Answer, Especially From Republicans

For four years, it has been like the first line of A Tale Of Two Cities, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”

I participated in many historic events, and for the rest of my life, I will never forget being at the Jerusalem Embassy opening or at the signing of an Executive Order Combating Anti-Semitism.

But, I have been one of the few Jewish voices calling out the profanity, violence and less than respectful behavior by some Trump supporters, many of them Jews.

I have been targeted by stalkers, threatened with death threats, and have received two attorney letters demanding that I stop calling out these radicals. I have the witnesses and documentation to back up every statement I ever made.

President Donald J. Trump lost his election, and republicans lost both houses because he, his family and his administration never called out groups like The Proud Boys. His campaign team never organized a professional grassroots team. The average person was not able to understand that most of the rally organizers before November 2020 and social media group administrators were and still are not official “Trump” team paid staff or even associated with them.

I was amazed to learn that during the January 6th events planned to support President Trump, a woman who received multiple attorney letters from President Trump’s legal team demanding her to stop all activities using his name organized a gathering with noted public figures minutes before Trump spoke.

This person is not the only charlatan. There are plenty of witnesses, thanks to social media, of hundreds of people calling themselves MAGA members, club presidents. Many profited selling merchandise in the name of Trump that misled the public and all helped destroy chances of a second Trump administration.

State and County Leaders

President Donald J. Trump is one person. However, republican officials, aware of all of this, helped incite the actions. They know what has been going on for four years. It’s not a secret. Not one of them made a public statement against any racist or anti-Semitic remark or action. They must take a stand NOW or be replaced.

Religious Institutions, Organizations and Leadership

Why would any respectable owner of any property allow a radical group to host meetings, invite people and encourage behavior like yesterday from either Democrats or Republicans?

Money can’t always be the answer. There comes a point when self-respect and public reputation take precedence.

COVID

I hear from many and actually agree. President Trump did not handle the seriousness of COVID and many women I know, despite being afraid of “defunding the police” and “the squad,” voted for Joe Biden. Trump was right about lockdowns and the failures of quality education in a crisis. However, social distancing and mask wearing, even if inconvenient and always not successful, never hurt.

I missed attending weddings. I could not get involved in new business opportunities. I declined invitations to The White House.

However, I learned to appreciate my surroundings and those I care about even more.

January 6th

I was criticized for not attending the rally. I wrote multiple articles in the past that were published in several places that rallies don’t work. What works is educating yourself. What works is getting involved in your local governments, exposing the wrongs and trying to fix them. What works is running for a position on a county committee or a school board and getting your neighbors involved. What works is donating directly to candidates that you support and build a relationship with.

I was not surprised about what happened yesterday. Just because groups claim to be republicans, libertarians or conservatives doesn’t make them any different than socialists or neo-nazis.

Next Steps

President Trump, his family members, and any republican looking to run for any public office needs to denounce groups and individuals so tied to negative controversy, vulgarity and the instigation of riots and destruction.

We also need full investigations into who was actually involved yesterday.

We also need a return to honest and fair media coverage from the left and right. We need questions answered about investigations and corruption on the left to the satisfaction of everyone.

Biden needs to answer republican voter concerns about law enforcement, about calling out Black Lives Matter and making America about All Lives Matter. He needs to say merit and achievement brings you success, not the color of your skin or if you are a woman.

My Next Moves

On January 6th, I was vindicated. My attorneys have everything they need to privately and publicly vindicate me.

As a religious Jew, I am urging religious institutions and organizations to distance themselves from any conflicts of interest and further controversy. Individuals, stay away from these radicals. They ultimately will never have any power and stand with Jews, even if they are Jewish.

When a religious nonprofit institution makes money from these vigilantes and overlooks the fact that many of the people lied to them without investing the time and efforts to find out the truth, they deserve to close. Don’t believe someone is a rabbi or even Jewish or supports Israel when their history proves otherwise. It’s easy to find out all these answers. During my political campaign, despite the fact that my opponent claimed to be pro-Israel, records proved his never donated a dime to a Jewish cause or participated in a public event supporting Jews. And, in most cases, groups and people that go out of their way to publicly support Jews, often have another story behind them.

If anyone wants any information including names, places and documentation, they can gladly reach out to me. My attorneys will totally cooperate with any investigations to end the hate, violence and destruction of the Republican Party.

Yes, many careers were ruined yesterday. If nobody wants to re-elect Senators Graham, McConnell or Romney, do it legally and respectfully at the voting booth.

But, don’t think that ignoring the truth about many who claim to be republicans is good or helpful.
