COVID Cases Are Seeing A Surge Across the US

John Hopkins University’s records show that the second most affected country is Brazil

COVID-19 cases in the US have unfortunately hit another record-high. On Sunday, the number of deaths surpassed 225,111, while hospitalizations in 38 states had increased.

This number makes the US a world leader in COVID-19 deaths, which have totaled over 8.6 million so far. 

John Hopkins University’s records show that the second most affected country is Brazil, which by now has registered approximately 157,000 coronavirus deaths. 

India takes third place in this grim chart, with almost 119,000 COVID-19 deaths.

Just a day after the COVID Tracking Project recorded 82,668 new coronavirus cases in America, the country registered a new record-high of 83,010 cases on Friday.

At the same time, the weekly average of new COVID-19 cases has been constantly growing. According to the Covid Tracking Project, on October 2nd, the number of newly infected people totaled 42,348, while on October 24th, the number hit 66,557.

This month, the registered death cases in the US have also increased reaching 807 on October 24thm from 703 on October 2nd, as the most affected stated are Wisconsin, Ohio, and Indiana.
