Violence in Times Square as Counter Protestors Provoke Pro-Trump Procession

Seven people were held in custody as Donald Trump supporters clashed with protesters in Times Square on Sunday.

While the “Jews for Trump” organization drove a pro-Trump caravan through NY downtown, counter-protesters blocked traffic and threw various objects at it.

Trump supporters started their peaceful procession in Brooklyn, driving down Ocean Parkway and making their way into Manhattan, where the situation got violent.

Altercations broke out after counterdemonstrators yanked pro-Trump flags off vehicles – and some of the drivers and passengers got out of their cars.

In all, five men and two women were arrested, accused of various charges such as assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

Reportedly, no police officers had been injured.

Currently, the Police are conducting an investigation of a Prospect Expressway incident where people were throwing rocks against the pro-Trump caravan.

Meanwhile, other people downtown were whipping eggs and rocks at a vehicle that was driving former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani.
