Donald Trump's Campaign Website Gets Hijacked by Hackers

The Hacker's message claims that they have “full access to trump and relatives”

Donald Trump’s campaign website got hijacked on Tuesday, when unidentified hackers replaced parts of the election website with a cryptocurrency scam.

President's Campaign Website Hacked

The Hacker's message claims that they have “full access to trump and relatives” and uncovered “most internal and secret conversations strictly classified information," however, none of these claims were officially confirmed.

According to Gabriel Lorenzo Greschler, the campaign website was hijacked around 4PM Pacific time. The cybercriminals accessed the webserver backend of donaldjtrump.com and installed a JavaScript message stating that the website “has been seized.”

The hackers’ message added that “the world has had enough of the fake-news spreaded daily by president donald j trump,” and “it is time to allow the world to know truth.”

The cybercriminals also claimed they had secret information on the “origin of the corona virus,” as well as other data against the US president and shared two Monero cryptocurrency addresses that appeared to be untraceable.

The first address was provided for revealing “strictly classified information," while the second was for people who have no intention of sharing it.

The PGP public key provided on the campaign website matched an email address at a non-existent domain (planet.gov).

Several minutes after being hijacked, the original content of the website was restored. According to the communications director of Trump’s campaign, Tim Murtaugh, no proof of hackers accessing any confidential data was found, nevertheless, the investigation continues.

This is not the first time that hackers have disproven Donald Trump’s recent claim that, “Nobody gets hacked. To get hacked you need somebody with 197 IQ and he needs about 15% of your password.”
