House Members Attempt to Censure Lyin’ Liddle’ Schiff

A vote to condemn and censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff came forward as Rep. Andy Biggs’ resolution for Schiff’s “parody” of July call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky.

“We follow rules even when they are represented by the minority party. That’s not happening today. That’s why we have to introduce this motion to censure. No more secret proceedings. No more Soviet-style proceedings,” Biggs said.

He brought his resolution to the House floor after receiving support from 135 Republicans in the lower chamber of Congress, with the House now having two legislative days to make a decision when a debate and vote will be held on Biggs’ resolution to censure Schiff. While Democrats have the majority and control the floor, a vote could still be forced by Republicans.

“This is a secret. And the only information you’re getting out of what’s happening there is coming from the leaks that are coming out from the Democrats,” Biggs said regarding being barred from seeing the transcript of U.S. special envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker’s testimony.

Schiff has become a target of all Republicans for his role and actions in the Trump impeachment inquiry, announced by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and has been taking hits everywhere for his “parody” of the president’s call that he enacted last month during the testimony of Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire.

The resolution to censure Schiff was introduced last month and quickly gained the support of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., and House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., among others.

“My summary of the president’s call was meant to be at least, part, in parody. The fact that that’s not clear is a separate problem in and of itself. Of course, the president never said, ‘If you don’t understand me I’m going to say it seven more times’; my point is, that’s the message that the Ukraine president was receiving in not so many words,” Schiff has said, defending his version of the call.
