More Than Half: Trump Presidential Approval Ratings Eclipse Obama

According to a new poll, fifty-one percent or more than half of likely voters approve of President Donald Trump's job performance, while 48 percent disapprove, a new Rasmussen Reports  presidential tracking poll shows.

It was Trump's best approval rating since April 2017, according to the poll. Conversely, President Barack Obama only had a 46 percent job approval on April 4, 2010 in his second year in office.

Trump's 51 percent approval on Wednesday is higher than the 49 percent he had he had received just 24 hours earlier.

The booming economy as well as a more aggressive stance on border security may be factors in the resurgence of popularity for the president.
