Online Retailers Offer Discounts to Counter Amazon's Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day has become a new Black Friday in a way, meaning there’s a lot of competition from other brands to offer their own deals. 2020 will be no exception. With Prime Day set to run from the 13th to the 14th, retailers like Target and Walmart have unveiled their own Prime Day alternatives to compete with Amazon.

One reason these Prime Day alternatives are so popular is that, unlike Prime Day deals that require Amazon Prime membership, anyone can get in on the fun. Here are some of the best sales happening right now;

Target

Target has brought back Target Deal Days to offer discounts on everything from home essentials and toys to tech and electronics. Deal Days runs on the 13th and 14th like prime Day, but Target has already dropped a range of deals ahead of time. While anyone can enjoy the discounts, members of the Target Circle loyalty program are the first to know about new discounts.

This year will be the first time the deals are live for both days, but things are sure to go out of sale quick. Don’t dally when getting a deal, or you could miss out on it.

Walmart

The Walmart Big Save event actually lasts longer than Amazon Prime Day. The Big Save event offers discounts on everything from video games and vacuums to kitchen appliances and runs from the 11th to the 15th

The company hasn’t announced early deals yet but watch for their Savings Spotlight section for the latest deals. Don’t be afraid of online shopping either, as Walmart offers free two-day shipping on orders over $35 and some items are available for free next-day delivery.

The Home Depot

The Home Depot offers a Fall Savings sale to compete with Prime Day. The sale runs for two weeks and includes discounts on just about everything in the store, including furniture, kitchenware, and décor.

The sale runs from the 8th to the 21st of October and has some significant discounts, such as better-than-half-price deals on sofas and desks. The kitchen gadgets can’t be overlooked either. Home Depot also offers a lot of shipping options, including free two-day shipping for select items.

Nordstrom

Prime Day is a prime day to be a Nordstrom shopper. Nordstrom offers up to 25% extra on clearance items for the two days of Prime Day. Keep in mind that things on the Nordstrom site sell out quickly. You shouldn’t hesitate to grab a deal when you see it, just in case.

This is your chance to grab the slippers, sweaters, shirts, and underwear you’ve always wanted, complete with massive discounts and free shipping.

Nordstrom Rack

Nordstrom Rack is joining in on the fun with the Happy Home Sale. The Happy Home Sale includes discounts on bedding essentials and home organization. There’s up to 60% off kitchenware and plenty of gifts under $25 to be found as well.

The Happy Home Sale runs until the 18th of October and includes discounts such as storage baskets, organizer bags, grills, and more. Nordstrom Peak offers free shipping for orders over $100 or $8 shipping for orders under $100.

Don’t think that Amazon is the only place to get a great deal on Prime Day. Many other retailers offer discounts and sales of their own. You don’t have to join Amazon Prime to get a great deal this Prime Day, thanks to Target, Walmart, Nordstrom, and other retailers.
