Pence Hits Biden Hard in RNC Speech

Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday hit Democratic nominee Joe Biden hard, while highlighting Trump’s successes as president over the past four years.

Order Under Trump, Decline Under Biden

Vice President Mike Pence in his Wednesday speech at the Republican National Convention made sure to relay the message that under President Trump, the US would have law, order and economic viability, whereas rival Joe Biden would lead America on a path to socialism and decline.

“The hard truth is you won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America,” Pence told the crowd, adding that the ongoing violence across the country as a result of social unrest against racism and police brutality, must stop.

The law and order that Trump has been focusing on recently was dismissed by Democrats as a diversion from the president’s “mishandling” of the coronavirus pandemic.

Pence then led the narrative to a very important topic for all – the economy, saying that the jobs lost as a result of measures taken to limit the spread of COVID-19 is a temporary setback. Even in opinion polls, Trump ranks a lot higher than Biden when it comes to handling the economy, as the US has seen record economic growth under Trump.

Pence also made sure to note Biden’s words last week that “no miracle is coming,” instead saying that “America is a nation of miracles,” adding that the US is close to having the world’s first effective coronavirus vaccine by the end of 2020.

Pence also spoke about military and foreign policy matters, noting that Trump kept his promise and rebuilt the military, as well as created a new branch – the United States Space Force.

“President Trump set our nation on a path to freedom and opportunity from the very first day of this administration. But Joe Biden would set America on a path of socialism and decline,” Pence said.

Throughout his speech, the Vice President made sure that one important thing would be seen by the American people – that President Trump has kept his word and worked towards fulfilling the promises he made before he won in 2016.
