Pompeo: State Department to Commence Transition Process Following the GSA's Decision

On Tuesday, US Secretary Mike Pompeo announced that Joe Biden’s formal transition process has started. The GSA had already approved the transmission on the day before.  

In a Fox News interview, Pompeo said that they "began the process to see what the GSA's decision was, and will do everything that's required by law.”

On Tuesday, President-elect Biden stated that America will be "ready to lead" again as the ex-Vice President is expected to step into duty on January 20th, next year. 

At an event in his hometown, Biden said that his team "reflects the fact that America is back” and “ready to confront our adversaries and not reject our allies.”

Joe Biden’s administration is focused on climate change and rebuilding Washington's relationships with important strategic partners through a diplomatic approach.

Recently, the President-elect revealed he has had nearly 20 phone calls with national leaders who were "looking forward to the United States reasserting its historic role as a global leader."
