TENEX Secures $250M Series B to Scale AI-Native Cybersecurity Operations

Sarasota-based TENEX raised $250 million in Series B funding to expand its AI-native security platform and global workforce.

The funding round, led by Crosspoint Capital Partners, marks a major escalation for the firm following its $27 million Series A in late 2025. TENEX plans to use the capital to accelerate global expansion and increase its headcount, with a goal of reaching 300 employees by the end of 2026.

Scaling AI-Native Defense

TENEX distinguishes itself by utilizing an "AI-native" architecture rather than adding AI features to legacy systems. This approach allows its platform to detect and handle cyber threats autonomously, escalating only the most complex issues to human analysts.

According to Managing Partner Greg Clark of Crosspoint Capital Partners, the platform is designed to defend against the speed of AI-enabled adversaries, providing a level of protection that traditional "bolted-on" AI solutions struggle to match.

Regional and Global Expansion

The company is currently constructing its world headquarters at 2407 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota. While local growth is a priority—aiming to add hundreds of jobs to the Manatee-Sarasota tech corridor—the expansion is international in scope. TENEX currently maintains offices in:

  • Sarasota, Florida (Headquarters)

  • San Jose, California

  • Overland Park, Kansas

  • Phoenix, Arizona

The firm is also finalizing plans for its first European office to support clients across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.

Leadership and Financial Growth

Alongside the funding, TENEX appointed Bashar Abouseido as President. Abouseido joins the firm with over 20 years of experience, most recently serving as Chief Security Officer at Charles Schwab.

The company reports 318% year-over-year funding growth. CEO Eric Foster stated that the $250 million raise—significantly larger than initially anticipated—will allow the company to expand faster in every direction, pursuing a long-term goal of $100 million in annual revenue.
