USNS Comfort Arrives in NYC

As the Coronavirus keeps spreading in New York, insufficient beds and ventilators have been just one of the problems, as NYC is close to 40,000 confirmed cases.

The USNS Comfort, however, has arrived in the city, hosting 1,000 beds, which will be used to treat patients with illnesses not related to COVID-19, while hospitals are overwhelmed with Coronavirus patients.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that the ship is a great help, as it will relieve a lot of stress on city hospitals. New York City remains the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the US, with close to 40,000 cases and at least 1,026 deaths.
