The notoriously deceptive Democratic Leadership is claiming that President Trump has broken a promise to his constituency. They claim that a deal was made to grant Amnesty to the 800,000 criminal "Dreamers" who entered America illegally.
In a recently released joint statement, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, (D-NY), and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, (D-CA), claim that they and President Trump mutually "agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that's acceptable to both sides."
Trump immediately denied the claim on Twitter:
No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote.
The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built.
The White House also released a Statement:
"President Donald Trump had a constructive working dinner with Senate and House Minority Leaders, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi as well as administration officials to discuss policy and legislative priorities," the statement continued, "These topics included tax reform, border security, DACA, infrastructure and trade. This is a positive step toward the president's strong commitment to bipartisan solutions for the issues most important to all Americans. The administration looks forward to continuing these conversations with leadership on both sides of the aisle."
