Rep. Rashida Tlaib was criticized over a since deleted Tweet, which prompted many users to criticize the Squad member for wrongfully assuming ‘white supremacy’ was responsible for this week's tragic shooting in New Jersey.
Wrong Yet Again!
“This is heartbreaking. White Supremacy Kills,” read Tlaib’s deleted post of a photo of one of the victims of the shooting.
“It was beyond heartbreaking to learn of what appears to be another anti-Semitic act of violence. The hate growing in our country is toxic,” her official account’s tweet says.
Screenshots and references to her deleted tweet claiming white supremacy fueled the attack have been blowing up on Twitter, with many users blasting Tlaib for her mistake, making fun of her and criticizing the Squad member’s latest fail.
“The evidence points toward acts of hate. I can confirm that we’re investigating this matter as potential acts of domestic terrorism fueled both by anti-Semitism and anti-law enforcement beliefs,” the attorney general said of the case and previous links between the shooters and a religious group railing against Jews and whites.
The New Jersey attack claimed six lives, three civilians who were in the store when the shooting began, one detective about a mile away from the store, and ultimately the two gunmen who were brought down by officers in a standoff.
